At Locs By Lyric, our work is centered on loc health, structural integrity, professional expertise, and long-term results. These policies are designed to create clear expectations and a consistent experience for our clients, students, and professional partners.

Additional terms may apply to specific services, products, classes, or engagements and will be provided during the applicable booking, checkout, enrollment, or contracting process.

Consultations & Service Recommendations

Certain services require a consultation before scheduling. Consultations allow Lyric to assess your locs, hair history, goals, current condition, maintenance practices, and previous work before recommending the appropriate service.

A consultation does not guarantee candidacy for a particular service. Pricing, service recommendations, estimated time, and maintenance plans are based on the information available during assessment and may change if the condition or scope of work differs at the appointment.

Clients returning after an extended absence may be required to complete a new consultation before scheduling.

Appointments, Payments & Scheduling

Appointments are not secured until all required booking steps and payments have been completed.

Requested or temporarily held appointment times may be released if payment is not received by the deadline provided by Client Support.

Payments made toward appointments and services are nonrefundable.

When permitted under the applicable booking terms, eligible payments may be transferred to a rescheduled appointment or applied as a credit toward another eligible Locs By Lyric service. Transfers and credits are accommodations, are not guaranteed, and are not redeemable for cash.

Late cancellations, missed appointments, repeated rescheduling, or failure to complete required pre-appointment steps may affect eligibility to transfer previously paid funds.

Appointments requested outside regular availability may be subject to a special scheduling or off-day accommodation fee.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

Your appointment reserves dedicated professional time and preparation.

If you need to change an appointment, please contact Client Support as soon as possible. Rescheduling eligibility, deadlines, and any applicable fees are governed by the terms associated with your booking.

Cancellation of an appointment does not convert a nonrefundable payment into a cash refund.

Where eligible, Client Support will assist with available rescheduling or credit options.

Loc Care, Maintenance & Professional Recommendations

Professional loc care is a partnership.

Results and longevity can be affected by hair condition, previous services, maintenance frequency, home care, products, lifestyle, and adherence to professional recommendations.

Lyric may recommend specific maintenance intervals, techniques, products, or follow-up services based on your individual needs. Extending recommended maintenance intervals, performing corrective work at home, receiving services elsewhere, or otherwise deviating from the recommended care plan may affect the condition and longevity of your locs.

If a requested service conflicts with Lyric's professional assessment of what is appropriate for your hair, Locs By Lyric reserves the right to modify or decline that service.

Loc Reconstruction & Corrective Services

Loc reconstruction involves corrective work on locs that may already have thinning, breakage, structural weakness, missing hair, previous repairs, inconsistent density, damage, or other complications.

Every reconstruction case is different. Specific outcomes, longevity, and future maintenance requirements cannot be guaranteed.

Some cases require multiple appointments or ongoing maintenance rather than a single corrective service.

Lyric may modify, pause, or discontinue a reconstruction plan when continuing would not support the structural integrity of the client's locs.

Work Performed by Other Providers

Locs By Lyric may evaluate or perform maintenance, reconstruction, repair, or corrective work on locs and loc extensions originally installed or serviced by another provider.

Performing corrective work does not make Locs By Lyric responsible for the original installation, materials, techniques, previous maintenance, or underlying condition of work performed elsewhere.

Additional issues discovered during service may require a revised service plan, additional appointments, or additional fees.

Client-Supplied Hair, Products & Personal Belongings

Locs By Lyric uses professional products selected for the services being performed. Client-supplied products or materials will not automatically be incorporated into a service.

Please disclose relevant allergies, sensitivities, scalp concerns, or special product requirements before service.

Clients are responsible for bringing all required hair, locs, extensions, or other materials to their appointment and for taking personal belongings with them afterward unless Locs By Lyric has specifically agreed to retain an item for a scheduled future service.

Locs By Lyric does not provide indefinite storage for client property, products, hair, locs, or extensions.

Service Concerns & Adjustments

If you have a concern regarding a completed service, please contact Client Support promptly.

Photos and/or an in-person evaluation may be required before Lyric can determine whether an adjustment is appropriate. Corrective work cannot be guaranteed before the original service has been evaluated.

Having the work altered by another provider before evaluation may limit our ability to assess or address the original service.

Product Purchases

Individual product results vary based on hair condition, application, maintenance practices, environment, and individual use.

Product information and recommendations are provided for cosmetic and educational purposes and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent medical conditions.

Product returns, exchanges, damaged shipments, and other purchase-related matters are governed by the terms presented at checkout.

Education, Classes & Professional Training

Locs By Lyric offers professional education including workshops, Look & Learns, demonstrations, private instruction, Academy programs, and other educational experiences.

Payments for classes, workshops, training, and educational programs are nonrefundable.

When permitted under the terms of the specific program, eligible funds may be transferred to another educational offering or applied as a credit toward an eligible Locs By Lyric service.

Transfers and credits are accommodations, are subject to availability and applicable deadlines, and are not redeemable for cash.

Failure to attend a class, workshop, or training does not automatically entitle the purchaser to a refund, transfer, or credit.

Participation in education does not guarantee specific income, clientele, business performance, professional results, or certification.

Educational Materials & Intellectual Property

Course materials, frameworks, demonstrations, methodologies, presentations, videos, written materials, and other educational resources remain the intellectual property of Locs By Lyric and/or their respective rights holders unless expressly stated otherwise.

Purchasing or attending education does not grant permission to reproduce, resell, redistribute, publicly upload, commercially teach, or otherwise exploit Locs By Lyric's proprietary educational materials.

Recording may be restricted during classes and educational experiences.

Private Classes, Travel & Hosted Engagements

Private classes, hosted education, demonstrations, speaking engagements, and travel-based engagements require advance reservation of Lyric's time and may involve significant preparation and nonrecoverable expenses.

A date is not officially reserved until the required payment or deposit and applicable booking requirements have been completed.

Deposits and reservation payments for private, hosted, and travel engagements are nonrefundable once the engagement is reserved, except where otherwise stated in the applicable engagement agreement or required by law.

Engagement-specific terms may establish final payment deadlines, cancellation and rescheduling requirements, travel and accommodations, materials, staffing, venue responsibilities, attendance requirements, recording permissions, intellectual-property rights, and other obligations.

Once travel, accommodations, supplies, shipping, staffing, preparation, or other resources have been committed, applicable costs may remain the responsibility of the host following cancellation.

Changes in a host's enrollment, business operations, finances, staffing, venue, or decision to cancel do not automatically transfer those costs or financial risks to Locs By Lyric.

Communication & Professional Relationship

Scheduling, payments, appointment holds, policy questions, and other administrative matters may be handled by Client Support. Professional assessments and recommendations requiring Lyric's expertise may require a consultation or appointment.

Locs By Lyric is committed to maintaining a professional and respectful environment and reserves the right to decline or discontinue a professional relationship when necessary to protect clients, staff, business operations, or the integrity of our services.

Repeated disregard of policies, disruptive or abusive conduct, fraudulent activity, or material breakdowns in the professional relationship may affect future booking eligibility.

Additional Terms

These policies provide the general standards for doing business with Locs By Lyric.

Specific services, purchases, classes, and professional engagements may require additional booking terms, consent forms, service agreements, or contracts. Those terms will be presented when applicable and may contain additional requirements specific to the transaction.

Policies may be updated as our services and business practices evolve.
