1. What happens during a virtual consultation with Lyric?

Lyric’s consultation consists of three parts to provide you with a tailored experience:

Understanding Your Current State: Lyric will discuss your hair’s history, current practices, maintenance schedule, any issues you’re experiencing, and your future goals.

At-Home Care Recommendations: Lyric will analyze your current at-home care practices and provide personalized recommendations to set you up for success.

The Client Experience: Lyric will explain what you can expect in her salon and answer any questions you may have. After the consultation, you’ll receive a detailed follow-up email summarizing everything discussed, providing a roadmap for your loc journey.

2. How do I prepare for my virtual consultation?

Platform: Your consultation will take place on Instagram. Video call @locs_by_lyric at your scheduled time.

Hair Preparation: Ensure your hair is down and fully visible for discussion.

Payment: The full balance of the consultation must be paid before your meeting. A payment link for any remaining balance will be provided 24–72 hours before your consultation.

3. Is the consultation fee refundable?

No, the consultation fee is non-refundable. This fee covers Lyric’s time, expertise, and the follow-up email detailing your consultation. If you decide to move forward with services, the cost of the consultation will be deducted from the total service cost.

4. Does completing a consultation guarantee an appointment?

No, completing a consultation does not guarantee an appointment. The consultation is a vital step for both you and Lyric to determine if moving forward together is a good fit. Lyric reserves the right to decide who she provides services to, ensuring that every client is aligned with her professional process.

5. Can I have an in-person consultation instead?

All first-time clients begin with a virtual consultation. If Lyric deems it necessary, a follow-up in-person consultation will be scheduled at no additional cost.

6. When will I know the final cost and time estimate for my service?

Final pricing, cost estimates, and time requirements will be discussed and confirmed immediately following your consultation. This ensures transparency and alignment on your loc journey.

7. Why is an intake form required when booking my consultation?

The intake form helps Lyric gather essential information about your hair and ensures you understand and consent to her process. This step is critical for maintaining a professional, respectful, and transparent client relationship.

8. What should I expect after the consultation?

Final pricing, cost estimates, and time requirements will be discussed and confirmed immediately following your consultation. This ensures transparency and alignment on your loc journey.

9. What happens if I need to change or cancel my appointment?

If you need to make changes or cancel your appointment, you can do so through the confirmation email you received. At the bottom of the email, you’ll find the options to “Change” or “Cancel.”

24-Hour Notice Required

Changes or cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

Cancellations Without 24-Hour Notice

If less than 24 hours’ notice is given, the appointment will need to be canceled and rescheduled. A new non-refundable deposit will be required to book another appointment.
